Brewin Dolphin named leading broker

Brewin Dolphin Investment Banking (BDIB) has been named as leading healthcare broker in the 2009 Thomson Reuters Extel UK Small Cap Survey.
The firm’s expertise in healthcare was reinforced as Sahill Shan was voted number one analyst in healthcare sector. Meanwhile, David Green and Jock Maxwell MacDonald were ranked in fourth and seventh place respectively in UK small caps sales. BDIB’s research capability team also collected another accolade as it was recognised for its excellence and ranked tenth in the research category. The firm’s sales operation was also highly ranked for its sales expertise.
The annual Thomson Reuters Extel UK Small Cap Survey reflects the contribution of over 1,400 buy-side firms, 170 brokerage / research firms and nearly 72 UK-listed companies with a market capitalisation below £1bn is widely considered the leading Small Cap barometer in the UK. Now in its 36th year, the Survey highlights the key opinions and market trends for UK-listed companies providing rankings of stockbrokers across sales, trading and research for 17 industry sectors.
