Johnson moved from health in reshuffle
Healthcare Market News -
The prime minister has moved Alan Johnson from the Department of Health (DH) and promoted him to the position of Home Secretary in the latest twist of the on-going turmoil at the government.
Just days shy of having held the office of Health Secretary for two years Mr Johnson was moved to his new role this morning (5 June) as Gordon Brown desperately attempted to fill senior seats left by a raft of resigning ministers.
As yet there is no word on who will replace Mr Johnson as Health Secretary, however, a number of care sector bodies are already showing signs of concern over the forced cabinet reshuffle and continued attacks on Mr Brown leadership of the country coming as they do in the month in which the sector had been told it could expect publication of the Green paper on adult social care.
